Whirlpool / Soaker tubs
Replacing large whirlpool/soaker tubs from a bathroom is difficult and nearly impossible. The size alone often makes it impossible to get a new one in the room. They will not fit through a doorway. When originally installed they were put in place before drywall was hung, thus the entrance was much larger at the time. The good news is that fiberglass or acrylic whirlpool/ soaker tubs from years ago are of superior quality to that of newer tubs. Refinishing can transform an older “rose” colored whirlpool with surface cracks on the bottom to a glossy white or any other updated color with a flawless surface thru out. The cost to refinish a whirlpool/soaker tub is often less than the cost of a new tub, not to mention the extra cost of the labor involved.
