Whether you have a clawfoot tub, an antique tub with an apron or another style of cast iron tub, ReSurface Pros can reglaze it to look shiny and new. When refinishing an older, cast iron bathtub, Jim takes special care to hide any damage that may have occurred over decades of wear and tear. Chips are filled in and sanded down (whether on the lip of the tub or anywhere else). Grooves under the faucet from a prolonged leaky faucet are also filled in. If the porcelain is pitted that is also filled in. ReSurface Pros removes any rust or staining as well. These are just some of the steps involved in the preparation process before resurfacing a cast iron bathtub. ReSurface Pros typically refinishes the inside only of the clawfooted tub, but can do the outside if needed. The outside can easily be painted by the owner. We are happy to talk to you on the phone with advice as to how you can paint the outside yourself and save hundreds of dollars.
